What They Needed: Alpha-Care Health Professionals, a leading regional home health care and nurse staffing agency, needed to connect with its clients, and potential clients, more effectively. Also desiring to be an employer of choice for talented health professionals, Alpha-Care wanted to enhance the experience of exploring employment and submitting applications on-line.
What We Did: Luster worked closely with Alpha-Care staff to understand how they connect with the people they serve. From these discussions, a design was crafted that reflects Alpha-Care's values and processes. In addition, the administration of on-line employment postings and applications was streamlined to allow Alpha-Care to grow without adding more administrative personnel.
Current Status: The new Alpha-Care.com will premier soon! (The enhanced employment features are already in production.)
Barr Real Estate .com
Industry: Residential/Commercial Property Management
What They Needed: Barr Real Estate, a downstate leader in multifamily residential management, commercial brokerage and development, needed a showcase for their impressive array of properties and services.
What We Did: Luster teamed with an award-winning design firm, Spinlight, to create a web presence that reflects the quality of Barr's properties and their emphasis on personalized service. Apartment shoppers can target searches of Barr's 150+ offerings, take video tours, browse photo albums, and view floor plans. They can even log in to save lists of units they'd like to check out. Current tennants can submit maintenance requests directly to Barr staff. All content is handily manageable by Barr personnel.
Current Status: Barr's Residential offerings are on-line now, soon to be joined by their Commercial offerings.
Sherman Dixie

What They Needed: A more efficient way to get designs and plans to project managers and crews for multiple projects
What We Did:We developed a design program that gathers specific information, converts the data into actual diagrams, and then provides blueprints, specs, and a listing of the maximum number of possibilities to complete the project, all of which were directly linked into the company catalog system.
Current Status: Program in use; additional versions have been updated; all options are fully customizable for your company’s needs.

What They Needed: A Clerk's Office Online (COOL) web application to more easily manage pending cases and reduce paperwork.
What We Did: We rebuilt the database from the ground-up and converted their legacy database into a fully normalized database capable of serving a demanding web application. The web application provides internal and external users with various levels of access to search the existing cases, file documents, manage case information or receive notification whenever a case they are interested in receives a change.
Current Status: Program in use since December 2002 and still receiving positive feedback from internal and external users.

We rely heavily on our ability to get information out on the Web quickly, accurately, and efficiently. This system does the job very well. The security for the internal side and the availability of information on the public side and the ease of use are far superior to any off-the-shelf system out there.
